UTOPIAN DREAMS
DESIGN STUDIO ALPHA -

SEMESTER 2, 2021
Set in a dystopian world, this is a landscaping and simple architectural project with the aim to create a utopian refuge in Lincoln Square (Naarm/Melbounre).
A site plan describes both the natural flora in the location, and the applied designs - walls and inbuilt stairs. The rolling hills asserted in the design make it more accessible for all, with the locations of each wall directing focus to the central meeting spaces, and disguising this space from the outside world. Creating with Adobe Illustrator and rendered with Adobe Photoshop.
A 3D model (completed on Rhino), displays the landscape changes to the original space. It emphasizes the impact of the sun on the design and the intricate curvature of every element.
Emphasizing the function of each rotating wall panel (rendered), the design focuses on ergonomic use across demographics. Depending on height, the panels may be used as tables, chairs or sunshades - even hiding spots for younger children playing games. These can form key meeting places for a multitude of interactions.
A physical model of the proposed design, creating to emphasize shape and slope, and a minimalistic description of the flora in the Square from multiple angles.
